Clear or colored, solvent based HG coatings

Our HG-SC series coatings are an ethanol solution of various silica or alumino-silica based formulations. They are either clear liquids or colored formulations available in 8 colors: clear, yellow, orange, pink, red, brown, blue and black.

These coatings can be applied on glass, metallic or plastic surfaces to achieve hard 1-10 µm coatings. Such coatings form strong chemical bonding with the glass surfaces and protect against staining or water corrosion.

Spin-, dip- or flow-coating techniques are used to apply these formulations on flat windows or sandblasted glass substrates. Silkscreen printing or spraying may be used as well. Curing requires ambient or slightly elevated temperatures.

The HG-SC formulations have been tested as protective coatings for sandblasted glass and exhibit superior protective anti-staining properties and water repellency when compared to existing commercial products.
